Imperial State Electric
“That’s Where It’s At” b/w “Oh Babe” 7″ single
Ghost Highway Recordings
A little part of me died the day The Hellacopters called it quits.
Whoa…deja vu.
However, the likelihood of never hearing anything new from any of the band members ever again was completely illogical, so I knew it was only a matter of time before I would be basking in post-Hellacopters glory. Well, here we are, just a few short years later, and the man himself, Nicke Andersson, is now the self-proclaimed Head of State for the rock n’ roll body that governs the groove and oversees the cool. His mission statement boasts:
“Imperial State Electric is the place or state of mind in which I am the lone Emperor. Here I rule just but firm, armed with an artillery of a hundred thousand electric guitars…The Imperial State Doctrine is simple: the Rock needs to roll.”
